I’m Krissy Rae, (Kristina Davis) proud Yuwi/Yuwiburra Cobble Cobble and South Sea Islander woman from Yuwi Country (area surrounding Mackay, QLD).

I embrace all parts of my diverse identity and heritage, which influence my spirituality and artworks. I’m also a traditional energy healer, which I learned from the old people in the ancient ways, where I specialise in injury, supporting people to come back to right relation with land and themselves, body and spirit.

I came to painting intuitively and as a means to express myself, to assist in healing traumas and to help with my mental health. I’m passionate about my art and culture and telling stories through my paintings. I enjoy using bold, bright and earthy colours to emphasise the beauty of the country I grew up on, which informs my designs incorporating those bright beautiful colours of country on canvas.
